Wednesday means Fox 5 Atlanta will be showing a Wednesday’s Child Segment featuring a foster child in need of a permanent home. Try to catch channel 5 at noon or 6pm for the latest feature. I assisted one a few months ago by taking pictures of Toni’s segment at an Atlanta hair salon. Toni got a day of special treatment getting a total makeover. She was full of questions for the professional hair and makeup team. I loved her ambition and all the things she wants to do in life. You can see more about Toni and her segment here. “Toni is a funny and positive teen with a great personality and a great sense of humor. She loves horses, playing card games, listening to music, talking and going to the movies. Toni also enjoys learning new things, cooking and doing hair and make-up for others, at which she is very talented. She is interested in doing hair and make-up or cooking professionally when she grows up. Toni needs a loving adoptive family who will provide her with the attention, structure, encouragement and nurturing environment she needs to continue to thrive and reach her goals. Her family will also need to support her desire to maintain her relationship with her sister, who has been planned for separately, as well as her need for ongoing therapy and academic assistance, which addresses her developmental delays.”
